Who I am
Rosy Paws Edinburgh is run by Roslyn McDonald, a dog trainer working in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. I am responsible for the personal information you share with me through this website. If you have a question about it, email rosypawsedinburgh@gmail.com.
What I collect and why
Booking your free consultation call. When you book a call or a workshop, Calendly collects your name, email address, phone number and anything you tell me about your dog. I use it to arrange and hold the call and, if we go ahead, to plan and deliver your training. Calendly handles the booking under its own privacy policy.
WhatsApp and email. Your name, number or email address and anything you send me, including photos and videos of your dog. I use them to reply, arrange sessions and give you feedback on your training.
Zoom sessions. Your first session takes place on Zoom. I do not record a session without asking you first.
The free guide. If you sign up for my free guide, your name and email address are held by MailerLite so I can send you the guide and occasional emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Website statistics. If you accept cookies, the site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It does not tell me who you are.
My lawful basis
Replying to your enquiry and delivering training is done at your request, before and under our agreement. Emails about the free guide and analytics cookies are only used with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not go ahead are deleted within 12 months. Client records, including training plans, are kept while we work together and for up to 6 years afterwards for insurance and legal reasons.
Who I share it with
I never sell your information. It is only handled by the services named above (Calendly, WhatsApp, Zoom, MailerLite, Google) and my website host, to do the jobs described. Some of these services are based outside the UK and use approved safeguards when they handle your data.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information I hold about you, and ask me to correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email rosypawsedinburgh@gmail.com and I will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office atico.org.uk.

The site only sets analytics cookies if you choose Accept on the cookie banner. See thecookie notice for the details.
